The Centennial FFA worked hard this last year to be selected by the National FFA as a Model of Innovation Finalist in Chapter Development. Top Model of Innovation chapters showcased those unique and innovative ideas and activities that the chapter sponsored throughout the year.
The Centennial FFA was selected for integrating Corney the Leadership Cow, a mascot, into their activities and for the Career Show they held for students. The members traveled to Indianapolis for the 81st National FFA Convention to compete for the top award and be recognized for this prestigious honor.
Centennial FFA hosted their annual Farm Safety Day this September. FFA members managed 11 stations about dangers around a farm. With the help of their sponsors, the Centennial FFA was able to educate over 300 elementary students about safety.
This past year has been very financially successful for the Centennial FFA. They netted over $9,000 through plant and product sales, sponsorship, community involvement, member success, and support from the school and patrons in the community.
The Centennial FFA looks forward to competing and working throughout the 2008-2009 school year to continue their trend of excellence.
